足立源一郎 ADACHI Genichirō
Jardin du Luxembourg, Paris

Speaking of Luxembourg Park, which has a history of over 400 years, among its distinctive features such as the palace, fountains, and the chestnut tree-lined paths, Genichiro Adachi sketched a quiet corner of the garden with few passersby. Being a mountaineer and a painter who liked to depict mountains, perhaps he captured the small traces of nature in a somewhat untended space. The way he captures the shapes, such as the large tree placed in the center, is as comfortable as when he depicts mountains.
