平賀亀祐 HIRAGA Kamesuke
Chartres

A building with crumbling walls, small animals snuggling with three children, and the pinnacle of French Gothic, Chartres Cathedral, barely peeking out from behind the trees. These elements come together to shape the charm of this landscape. Kamehisa Hiraga, known as the 'Poet of Walls,' painted many scenes of the streets of Paris, but he probably wanted to capture this scene, simple and unpretentious, where time flows slowly.
