On the left side of the screen, you can see what looks like a truck bed or a Ferris wheel. Perhaps a traveling amusement park has come. Since mobile homes and huts with the French flag are lined up, there might also be a circus or sideshow. The bustle of the festival itself is not depicted, and the figures are kept to a minimum, but that blank space instead gives a sense of narrative.
