Sparse forest and snow on a sunny day

Clear skies after snowfall. On either side are smoky clouds that give off a chill. Beyond the upright forest is probably a lake, and the painting appears to be facing south with Mount Asama to the back. Judging from the shadows cast by the trees to the right, it seems that he was facing this view with a refreshing feeling on a New Year's morning. It is a work of dignity inherited from Kuroda Seiki and Fujishima Takeji.
