川口軌外 KAWAGUCHI Kigai
Still Life

In this work, the composition in which the pear motif is observed from various directions—front, below, above—and the combination of fabric and motifs to express depth make it seem as if a multi-perspective approach similar to Cézanne's still life paintings is being employed. Additionally, the textures, such as the coldness of the metal and the tautness of the fabric, convey a calm atmosphere, reflecting Kawaguchi Kiga's skill as a painter.
