NAKAYAMA Takashi

Two boats washed up on a deserted beach at dusk.Perhaps the fishermen had finished work and were heading home.As this work was exhibited at an early Japan Independent Exhibition, one can assume that it contains a social message.That may be one answer, but Nakayama's irregular yet clear brushstrokes and colors also give the impression that his intention in drawing extends to a kind of harmony between nature and humans.
